Six tentative tourist trails were developed by the project in 2007. Most of the attractions are linked with these trails. Tentative trail maps have been designed (see link on the right; each trail has a distict colour on the map). Trail routes and attractions will be redefined, and trail maps updated in project phases II and III. Currently, neither the trails nor the attractions have been marked in the field and therefore it is necessary to hire a local guide to walk the trails and to get explanations about the attractions. Guides can be hired from the project office in Mwembeni village. Click the links below for descriptions of the trails and attractions:
